@MorrisJobke do you know if we support Chinese simplified as a translation and if so help out @yuhr123?
Thx, I have joined the translation team.
With Transifex we can’t get an immediate translation in the site. That’s so bad.
@jmr translations are updated with every release only. That’s entirely normal. If you need to patch a translation in your instance, you can manually edit the language file in the folder nextcloud/core/l10n
.
I’ve seen a lot of spanish variations in transifex, but not the Spanish (Spain) [ES_es].
I requested it but it was rejected. I wonder if it is already included.
Hello, there is spanish. It uses short locale.
See https://www.transifex.com/nextcloud/nextcloud/language/es/
I rejected your request.
Please let me know if there is anything to do.
Looks like Nextcloud is on Transifex, but I thought this would be interesting to people here: Weblate has just launched a beta feature for translating the Fastlane metadata files directly. Nextcloud Android uses these files already. I think no other translation platform supports these files directly, so we got a grant to get it implemented in Weblate. I imagine Nextcloud could get a free hosted account from Weblate to try it. You can see it in action for F-Droid:
@tobiasKaminsky expressed interest in the Fastlane issue, https://github.com/fastlane/fastlane/issues/9520, which was force-closed by their bot, so I thought I’d follow up here.
Good to know!
Indeed there were ideas to at least try Weblate.
As “only” Android related projects need this Fastlane integration, and given that we have now a working solution, I think that this is not that urgent in our project backlog.
Still good to know
Shifting a community to another platform is a huge task.
We had this discussion some time ago. @kingu has been part of it.
