Getting help

In order to help you as efficiently (and quickly!) as possible, please fill in as much of the below requested information as you can.

Before clicking submit: Please check if your query is already addressed via the following resources:

(Utilizing these existing resources is typically faster. It also helps reduce the load on our generous volunteers while elevating the signal to noise ratio of the forums otherwise arising from the same queries being posted repeatedly).

The Basics

  • Nextcloud Server version:
    • 31
  • Collabora version:
    • 25.4.4.2

Summary of the issue you are facing:

I am confused about the feature (or lack of it?) of referencing cells from one sheet file in another.
According to collabora 25.04 docs it’s possible, but I don’t see the menu mentioned anywhere. Googling this issue gives mixed results, mostly other people making simmilar issues back in 2023.

Hello @hornetDC,

welcome to the Nextcloud community! :handshake:

in my quick test it works well

  • enter the following formula in cell C1 of Sheet3:
  • =Sheet1.B16
  • data from other cell is displayed

but in general I would recommend you ask such questions in Collabora forum for better visibility.

@wwe :
I understand, that the reference to annother file (cell-reference in an other document) seems not to work anymore.

if I think about the integration I imagine referencing another file is completely impossible.

CODE/COOL itself could act as as stand-alone (primary) application with standing access to a storage - here it might be possible-- but with Nextcloud when CODE receives a short-timed token to access one file I have no idea how it could access another file

→ I didn’t test and didn’t check further as the question is vague and the OP doesn’t care to fill the support template and port in the right forum
