It looks the dark theme is somewhat unreadable. From my testing pdf viewer and office follow system setting for dark theme. In my case pdf itself looks good but I see similar issue in the menu bar
it doesn’t exactly fit my testing - for me the files, photos, activity, settings, dashboard apps have perfect contrast (on desktop nc31), unreadable icons only appear in pdf reader. but I’m too lazy to search further - you should have enough trails to follow

I’ve tried switching the theme to both light and dark, but the issue remains, the PDF still doesn’t display. The error in the console is:
Cannot read properties of null (reading ‘getElementById’)
I don’t think there is generic issue - for me it works in multiple instances, I would rather assume issues with your pdf. Your screenshot looks like you have an “empty” document… maybe the reader can’t open it for some reason. Try the one which is shipped to each new user by default - likely it works.
Ok, I’ve discovered that the issue was browser-related (Edge). The PDFs display correctly in other browsers. I’m currently looking for a solution, and I’ll update this thread if I find one. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I’d be grateful to hear them!
