There are a few similar topics with speed problems and some suggestions what you can do and look for. It depends also how you installed it, what you configured, so to help you we probably need more information:
Nextcloud version (eg, 18.0.2): 20.0.4.0
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): debian stable
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): nginx/1.14.2
PHP version (eg, 7.1): 7.4.10 php-fpm
The issue you are facing:
The webinterface is really slow (20 000ms+ loading time) while the dav etc are fine

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): No

Hi,
Ive just setup an docker environment, with an MySQL container and the official Nextcloud image.
The containers resides on an VM with 2xvCPU and 4GB memory, and are in no way utilized
All the data is stored on an NVMe disk, except for the data, which is stored at an Raid6.
Everything seemed to be working fine, except after 30-60 seconds after the Nextcloud container starts.
Then the webinterface begins to become extremely slow.
The sites themself works fine and are snappy, but when movi…
Guys… I was freaking out, when I realized how slow my webinterface was. Thought of the worst like got hacked or so. You are brilliant. I can confirm the same behaviour since the update and the fix works perfectly! Thanks, highly appreciated!
So anything down/upload to the cloud is so slow, like 1/10 (5 MB/s) of the speed my server is capable of and i have done so much troubleshooting to find issue but now im asking here for help, I have tested direct download from my website(normal web directory) and getting full speeds.
Downloading is slow from webinterface and also with sync client and so on.
server is Dedicated 8 core, 1000Mbit/s connection, 64GB RAM, 12TB HDD.
Nextcloud 17.0.2
Debian 10
Apache 2.4.38
PHP 7.3.11
mariadb 10…
I installed Nextcloud using Docker/docker-compose with mariadb. After I finally got the connection to the database working I noticed that the webinterface is really slow, like unusably slow. Its running on a VM with 4GB RAM and 2 virtual CPUs, so that shouldnt be the problem. RAM and CPU usage is also quite low.
I was thinking that this may be an issue with the database as there are also some warnings in the admin panel.
This is my docker-compose.yml
version: '3'
