my organisation decided to use another folder than ‘Photos’ for our images taken over the time, and used to be stored with another cloud provider formerly.
Within the ‘Photos’ app, we theoretically have a possibility to switch media folders to any other location via left bottom ‘Photos Setup’, haven’t we?
I’ve got two different instances on this hosting provider (Hetzner) and checked both out: same result as user and as admin. I also tried to use different browsers like Firefox and Chromium on Linux.
However, I found this Error in my Server Console
which seems to result in even more error messages (loads of e is undefined) and prevent the file picker from loading. Hence: no, I cannot create new files but not due to permissive reasons but for JS errors as the PickerElement_vue.js is not loading properly.
Am I right with my presumption that some server settings are not working properly and I would have to talk to my hosting provider about it?
The File Picker had a cosmetic bug in the web UI (the setting could still be set from the command-line however) in the Photos app at some point. You didn’t fill out the support template so it’s unclear what version you’re actually using, but it sounds like your host may need an update.
Excuse me, mate. There’s no SSH nor command line in the contract I have.
I cannot recall where I was forced to fill this form and if so, I would have been afraid revealing sensitive data in public as it seems to be a public forum thread, is it not?
To be honest, I wouldn’t call it cosmetic if features cannot be accessed. Let’s just call it a bug, which I am perfectly fine with
Now we are talking. I’m going to contact my hosting provider. Thanks again mate!
