Upgrading 25.0.13 to 26.0.13 failed - oauth2 Error

Hi,

upgrading from 25.0.13 to 26.0.13 I get

Exception: Database error when running migration 011602Date20230613160650 for app oauth2
Migration step ‘OCA\OAuth2\Migration\Version011602Date20230613160650’ is unknown
Update failed

I thought upgrading from one major release up to the next is allowed or do I need to to any steps in between? So whicht is the most current version to upgrade from 25.0.13?

Have you checked the requirements:
Nextcloud 25
Nextcloud 26
Check your PHP version. For Nextcloud 26 you need at least PHP 8.0.

Maybe you can uninstall the problem app. Make a Backup before uninstall the app and the upgrade. You should also not wait so long for upgrades. Take a look here. Nextcloud 25, 26, 27 and 28 are EOL.

Version for upgrade is correct. 25.0.13 to 26.0.13 is correct. Then latest 27, 28, …

Thank you. I did before but forgot to mention. It’s 8.1.

  • Operating system and version: Debian 12.9
  • Web server and version: Apache/2.4.62 (Debian)
  • PHP version: 8.1
  • Installation method: manually (Upgraded from owncloud)

How, precisely, are you deploying the update?

That migration step doesn’t exist in v26. It wasn’t added until v28 so it’s unclear how you’d even have it.

This is why filling out the entire support template is helpful. It asks for reproduction steps to avoid back and forth requests for clarifications / additional information. . :slight_smile:
