In order to help you as efficiently (and quickly!) as possible, please fill in as much of the below requested information as you can.

Before clicking submit: Please check if your query is already addressed via the following resources:

(Utilizing these existing resources is typically faster. It also helps reduce the load on our generous volunteers while elevating the signal to noise ratio of the forums otherwise arising from the same queries being posted repeatedly).

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can.

Tips for increasing the likelihood of a response

  • Use the preformatted text formatting option in the editor for all log entries and configuration output.
  • If screenshots are useful, feel free to include them.
    • If possible, also include key error output in text form so it can be searched for.
  • Try to edit log output only minimally (if at all) so that it can be ran through analyzers / formatters by those trying to help you.

@SysKeeper Thank you so much for the prompt response. Much appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend. Peter

For those that upgraded before it was killed. What is the advice?

Wait for the fixed version. There’s just the mentioned bug in sharing, it has no security implication or something.

I assume updates are still disabled. With these extended holidays I wanted to upgrade, but I just spent a couple of hours trying to work out why I couldn’t upgrade from an unsupported 31 before finding this thread.
Clearly the upgrade system should support showing a message if updates are disabled with an explanation so people don’t waste their time.

In the meantime, versions 32.0.8 and 33.0.2 had actually already been released, both on 2 April. Apparently, these were withdrawn over the bank holiday weekend without any announcement, just as versions 32.0.7 and 33.0.1 had been previously.

It therefore appears that the latest NC Server versions were all so buggy that they had to be withdrawn.

Sorry, I can’t believe it: I just updated two test servers in the morning without any error messages. (32.0.8 → 33.0.2, each of them).

You are right, now, two hours later there is an Update from 32.0.6 to 32.0.8 available again.

But as you can see in the picture above it was not two hours before. So maybe there was a problem with the Server or any other reason the update was not available this morning.

Oh and as you can see at Unable to update from 32.0.3.2 to 32.0.8 others faced a similar problem today
