Update from 30.0.1 to 30.0.5 Internal Server Error

Hello together,
I updated my Nextcloud from 30.0.1. to 30.0.5 over the WebUI
After some time I get an error message:

#Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at nextcloud@domain.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

If I enable the maintance mode over the console I see the normal Maintance Message.

I am not a NC Specialist, in the past, the updates are no problem.

Where I have to look the see what is wrong?
Where is the error.log ?

Please search the forum or check the Admin Manual. This stuff is documented and well discussed already. :wink:

It’s also possible the error is before Nextcloud (I believe it is in your case, based on the output). That would mean checking your web server error log. Since you didn’t fill out the support template we can’t even speculate where that may be in your environment. However it’s likely in a well known location if you check your web server’s / OS distribution’s documentation (i.e. /var/log)

P.S. The support template you appear to have deleted when you posted, has some of the probable log paths in it.

Hi, try to set in config.php the maintenance = true, before you update.

OK, I am search the log.

No, the WebUI automatically set it to maintance mode.

After the error I set it manually to true.
Then I saw the normal NC Maintance Message.

sudo service php-fpm restart
sudo service mariadb restart

I reboot the completely Server before I open the ticket.

I have executed the commands, but I don’t have the php-fpm service.

Should I install it?

Hello,
I found the problem.
It is in the .htaccess file.
If I rename the file, then the login works.
But in the backend I get a warning notice.

Mmh, now I have to check how I can generate a new one.

It was not .htcaccess
It was a wrong /var/www/nextcloud/config/config.php
‘htaccess.RewriteBase’ => ‘/’, here it was /nextcloud, that’s wrong

Now everything is fine
