Specify retention date

Hello Nextcloud community,

I‘m working for a community radio and we are looking for a way to publish podcasts. Generating the rss feed is not the issue. I think we will be able to create something (e.g. podcast-rss-feed-from-a-shared-folder) .
However, due to some regulations, for certain podcast episodes we are only allowed to provide them for 7 days after broadcasting on air. I‘m aware of file retention app. But as far as I have understood the retention period always starts with the uploaded date. Is there a way to specifiy another retention date?

Afaik the Retension app doesn’t support the requested function yet. You should check-out the File access control app, which allows to restrict access to a file in a more detailed way, so that a combination of both apps might work. See also:
