Recurring tasks is it possible?

Hello,

I’m looking to create recurring tasks (weekly for example) like watering the plants. Once the task is done, I would like to be able to check the box and have the task proposed the following week. How to do this and with which application in Nextcloud? I thought the “task” app could do this, but obviously not. Deck can’t either.

Thanks for your help.

Not possible yet. Only way is if you find an app for mobile that supports recurring. If so, let us know.

Which depends on

Recurring tasks
that’s all.

Absolutely. Moved to this discussion topic for visibility and to keep it going. It is still linked in the larger missing features thread.

Ok…this is a bit old but you asked the question…
I can create a recurring task on my iPhone using an app called ‘Pocket Informant’
The iPhone syncs with my Nextcloud instance.
Thunderbird Email client with Tasks (running on my PC) then syncs with Nextcloud.
Thunderbird shows the recurring task - so I assume Nextcloud (on the server-side) knows how to handle recurring tasks.
The Tasks app in Nextcloud does not even notice that the Task is recurring.

You are correct: no webui support for recurring, but can be done on client devices.

You’ll have to setup and manage recurrence in the client app. As you noticed, no way to manage from the webui

On Android, I’m using the Tasks.org app (available on Google Play or F-Droid) in conjunction with DAVx5. Works flawlessly.

Looked very promising until the required $7.50 CAD x5 utility to try it out :frowning:

You can get it for free from F-Droid…

…or it can be downloaded directly from their GitHub page:

A post was split to a new topic: Recurring Tasks is in development as a pull request.
