I didn’t try OnlyOffice so far as I choose CODE from the beginning and I’m happy with it. From what I know OnlyOffice claims better support for MS as main advantage.. I have no demand for it and also dislike the ribbon interface - for this reason I prefer CODE..
The biggest pain point from my point of view is the complex integration:
- Many hobby admins struggle with the mechanics of WOPI and some even fail to follow detailed guides like Collabora Integration guide
- others try to trick the connections into local network to avoid the “internet loop” like discussed in Local access for Collabora
