Although I understand the need to reduce the mess in this forum, but I got a post rejected from General because it “is a support request”. Spoiler, it is not.
Is there a way to object ?
I tried answering the system bot? message but no sign of life.

just re-read your topic and for me it is not a general topic, you asked for support and we have a support template to use.
Otherwise the question and answer loop starts about basics like e. g. your setup.
Please use the template and we are ready to go.

Starting by explaining how I use something.
Then saying why I’m annoyed about this being partially broken.
And finally proposing a discussion about integrating my need into the core of the product is a support request ?
I don’t care about getting the “use-this” or “use-that-instead” answers, I want the opinion of people about my proposition.
At what moment do I ask for support ?
This would totally fit in General instead of being just yet-another-my-install-is-broken support request and end up buried with the others.
Is this about the fulltextsearch being integrated into core or keeping a separate app?
In this case, I don’t see how the user’s environment and setup has an influence on the answer that would require the template. Questions regarding a specific app in the General Topic? Why not, and if it was the wrong place, I’d rather accept and move to the correct section.
The thing about such design stuff for implementation, it is not on the forum where this is decided. People might have more insight and share their opinions. And it is not bad to start to ask on the forum.
