Use case: I have mounted a public external SMB storage and properly configured user and user group permissions for various folders. Due to NTFS ACL controls, I do not want to enable sharing within this SMB, as sharing would undermine the original intent of the ACLs. Therefore, I cannot implement an approval workflow for files uploaded by users into this SMB, because the approval flow requires the file to be shareable.
