Upgrade was smooth (from 12.0.0).

The nextcloud log shows errors on sync from some CalDAV and CardDAV
clients (Mozilla TB @ Linux, CalDAV-Sync and CardDAV-Sync by dmfs GmbH @
Android), however data is eventually synced fine.

Other clients (CardDAV plugin of roundcume and rainloop) do not produce
the error. (I noticed some patch for these two types of clients exists
in NC 12.0.1-RC4 to resolve non-standard client behaviour.) I checked
the logs and the problem seems to be introduced with NC 11.0.2 or so)

NC11.0.3 does not allow transition from OC10.0.2
Support for transition from OC10.0.2 was not added until just now in NC12.0.1RC4, that’s why I waited 30 days for it after purchasing the iOS app on multiple accounts and backing everything up to make the merge. I guess just going to have to wait and see what jospoortvliet is going to suggest.
I figured out the issue after reviewing version.php file… for anyone who is updating from OC10.0.2 make an edition in your config to make sure it states
‘version’ => ‘10.0.2.1’,
my OC config file stated version as 10.0.2.0 and therefore it was not compatible. After changing the version number to 10.0.2.1, I was able to successfully merge over to NC12.0.1RC4.

So it seems you did find a bug, or not - @nickvergessen thinks it is a beta or RC of ownCloud, not a final release. Is that possible?

Couple of small bugs worth mentioning:

Spelling on “Tips and ticks” and linking to the owncloud manual instead of nextcloud.
For those using cron jobs, make sure you edit your cron if you are now using /nextcloud/ instead of /owncloud/ as your main directory.

This is really odd. Esp the doc.owncloud.org thing - that is certainly not in our code. Are you sure the update was complete and some files from oC are not left over perhaps? I am trying to find out how this can happen but I can’t find anything…

Tried to update from 12…0.0 to 12.0.1 RC4 on a PC running OpenMediaVault 3.0.86 - Debian Linux
First I tried the beta channel the the daily channel.
Both with the same result.

Morten, time outs are odd - seems a server issue, what do you see in the logs?!!?? Is the zip handling PHP module installed?

I changed my stable version (12.0.0) to beta and went to update to 12.0.1 RC4 (as admin). I pushed the open update button and it started, but failed due to write permission errors from the copy of the config, et al to the updater folder (the entire list of files was included). I logged on to the terminal (Debian Jessie) and changed the permissions to 777 on the entire folder, ran it again and got the same errors. Am I doing something wrong? By the way, this is a test server I have setup to test new releases.

SEL must be disabled prior update, if used.

It’s not being used. I ran through the disable commands for selinux and they weren’t even recognized. I’ll mess around with parent permissions for a bit. Thanks. By the way, I love your software. Keep up the good work.

Actually I have no Idea what went wrong. Actually on updating to RC4 I got the same messing wich could be fixed by using the occ upgrade command.
