Summary of the issue you are facing:

When trying to connect the sync client (latest version, downloaded on 27.02.2025), the login is not “given back” from the browser to the sync client. The sync client keeps waiting saying “Please complete the log in process in your browser“ even though the login was already completed in the browser.

It seems to be the same issue as this one.

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Install sync client for macOS
  2. Enter Nextcloud URL
  3. Log in account in Safari
  4. Grant access to sync client
  5. Go back to sync client and you’ll see it’s still waiting even though
