Two iPhones (different models, different accounts)
Freshly installed Nextcloud app, registered via QR code from the web interface → works fine
In the web interface, we can see all 17 folders shared with us, including the photos inside.
Problem in the iOS app (on both mine and my wife’s phone):
Only one of the 17 shared folders is displayed correctly.
The newly shared folder (#17) appears under “New” and “Media” with its photos – but not under “Folders”. When I click the folder name there, it’s empty.
Uploading photos works: the admin receives them. But after reloading, the uploaded photos also disappear from the app’s folder view.
If the admin logs into the NC app on my iPhone with his own account, everything shows up correctly.
Wow, that’s dumb. Not the switch, but enabling it by default! I thought there was a bug in the beta, as I didn’t see any external storage on iOS anymore, while it still worked with the app store version. Now external storage disappeared with the 7.1.0 update too. I see now that the problem was this “personal files only” setting that was simply on after updating.. not even mentioned in the ‘what to test’ - info of beta, or the app store app info. Of course I assumed something was broken..
thanks a lot! kind of silly to activate that switch by default and distracting users by hiding stuff unexpectedly. (its in the top right corner, not in the main settings menu)
