How do the files bookmarks work?

Do these only link to files inside NextCloud, or can you put for instance Windows paths in there?

Ah, that keeps confusing users. When you bookmark a file on the web that isn’t a webpage, the app will download it to your nextcloud and link from the associated bookmark to that file.

So you’re saying a file that is stored in NextCloud? I’m still not sure I follow.

Say you found a PDF on the web. You add the link to your bookmarks. The app will then download that PDF to a folder in your nextcloud files. It will also refer to that downloaded PDF in your nextcloud files in the bookmark details, so you still have the PDF when the link goes down or is depublished.
