Habemus repositorum (Latin: We got a new repository!)

Hi fellow Nextclouders :rocket:

We just went live with our server repository! Check it out at https://github.com/nextcloud/server

Currently we will concentrate on the stable9 branch until we have released Nextcloud 9 in the very near future. Stay tuned! We will have more information on that very soon.

Contributions, issue reports and more are very welcome. Just jump in on GitHub or leave a comment here, of course you are also invited to join us in #nextcloud-dev on Freenode.

Also @MorrisJobke is working on getting a CI environment running very soon. Join the infrastructure team on GitHub to help the efforts.

Nice work!
How can (technically, since I am no git pro) this be done for the Android repo(s) (app and library) and when should this be done? Especially since with the Android app, we will probably have to do a complete package rename, hi there java having the trademark in the package name…
So it will be a top level change structure wise so simple merges with the oC Android app development will be impossible from that point on and we would also have to do this on all its branches :’( - I will kick off a discussion specifically for Android.

Good questions, @andy! I haved pinged @jan about this and he will talk to you and @tobiasKaminsky about this

Sounds good to me! So I’ll wait for Jan then.

…and so ist the Android repo https://github.com/nextcloud/android :rocket:
