Folder's sharing

I am experiencing an issue with sharing in Nextcloud. I am able to share individual files without any problem, but I am not able to share folders.

When I try to share a folder, the sharing option does not work as expected, while file sharing works normally. I have checked the sharing settings in the admin panel, and sharing appears to be enabled.

Could anyone please guide me on what might be causing this issue or what settings I should check to resolve it?

Please clearly state the problem (and what steps you’re taking to trigger the situation so that we can try to reproduce it).

We are facing an issue with folder sharing in our Nextcloud instance.

Problem:
When we try to share a folder, the share dialog appears but keeps searching continuously and does not show any users or groups.

However, file sharing works normally inside the same folder. We can share individual files without any problem, but sharing the entire folder does not work.

Observed behavior:

• Clicking the share icon on a folder → the user search keeps loading.

• Clicking the share icon on a file inside that folder → sharing works correctly.

Please let me know if you need any additional information from our side. I believe I have shared most of the relevant details about the server and the sharing issue, but I’m happy to provide logs, configuration details, or any other diagnostics if required.

This issue is affecting our users’ ability to share folders, so we would appreciate any guidance or suggestions to help resolve it as soon as possible.

As of now, I have observed that we are able to share files such as PPT, XLSX, PDF, and ODS without any issues. However, when attempting to share files like CSV, SQL, or ZIP, the sharing option does not work and the files are not getting shared.

Additionally, even when creating a new empty folder, I am unable to share the folder.

Clicking the share icon on a folder → the user search keeps loading.

Please check your browser inspect as described in the support template while this is happening. Specifically both the Console and Network tabs.

Also:

• Set loglevel to the default (2 aka WARN) and monitor the Nextcloud log while reproducing the problem
• If possible, please update to a supported maintenance release (v32.0.3 is outdated; v32.0.6 is the latest for the v32 series)
• If still stuck, post your actual Nextcloud config (output of occ config:list system).

Now the Sharing folder is working**
