We are happy to announce the release of Deck Android 1.18! 
After version 1.17 this update features (optional) Cover images for cards and some minor improvements for multi account users.

This update also contains a security hardening¹ and should therefore be installed as soon as available.
Please note, that we unfortunately had to disable the preview of downloaded files in the attachment picker “files” section due to restrictions in newer Android versions. We will directly open the native system file picker instead for now and try to restore the previous or a comparable behavior in the future.

Get Deck Android 1.18
The release is rolled out in stages (at time writing 1%), so just be a little patient if you can’t see the update yet or switch to the beta channel.
¹ Security hardening:
The API which we used to search for users, for example when sharing a board, forwards the request to a lookup server to find also users from federated clouds. The search query (= username) can be exposed to this lookup server. We haven’t been aware of this behavior until now. Since Deck does not yet support federation, this lookup is not necessary and we opted out.
