Collabora licensing

Thanks a lot for the detailed article, just so sad Collabora is made by a so bad company (wanted to buy a licence of it but their conditions are abusive :frowning:
PS: Do you have a link with Collabora company ? as I’m quite surprised to notice you are the guy that closed a subject I had opened about Collabora company and their abusive commercial practices…

Hi @vincen I don’t see any topic related to COOL licensing I closed shortly. Maybe it was closed as part of our efforts to get rid of old inactive topics Forum restructuring and closing old topics Please link here if still related.

I have no relations with Collabora online and don’t know their license term and don’t know why this should be abusive. On the very first look it sounds reasonable for me… at the end everybody has to pay the bills. There was bad move adding a nag screen quite a long time ago Office: Alternatives since Collabora introduced nagware with possibility to track users but after constructive discussions everything is good for SOHO installations AFAIK.

But I would recommend to ask in the Collabora forum where this questions is definitely better placed as this one is focused on Nextcloud.
