Android Client does not auto upload all images?

Sometimes not all photos are uploaded automatically, for whatever reason, no idea why. Android Client 3.30.8.

The only option is to manually upload the missing pictures, but you have to manually find out which pictures are missing first.

That’s a horror!

Are the missing pictures displayed in the “Uploads”-menu, perhaps under “failed”?

Unfortunately not. It says: “No uploads available”.

Here too.

Having the same issue and it looks totally random for what photos are skipped and not.

Same issue here, is there an issue created for this?

Facing the same problems since at least 10 weeks. Some photos will be uploaded, some will be not. This can never be a problem with access rights like it was stated earlier. In this case the upload would fail permanentely.

Meanwhile I’m on app version 3.31.0, slowly it becomes really frustrating.

I can confirm, 3.31.0 and some photos are skipped, not even appearing in the uploads list.

I had a similar experience – after multiple issues with auto-upload when using the Google Play version of the app, I switched to the version from F-Droid. Since then, everything has been working flawlessly.

I’m currently using version 3.31.0, and I haven’t experienced any issues with auto-uploading files or photos. Tested on multiple Android devices.

On the server side, I’m running Nextcloud AIO (latest).

If you’re using the Google Play version, I highly recommend trying the one from F-Droid – it seems some issues simply don’t occur there.

Unfortunatelly the F-Droid version is not much more better. It claims, that the Nextclous server is outdated, even it is a still supported version. “Upload” dialog generates a black screen, solving conflicts is impossible.

Then take 300-400 photos and see what happens. Then it suddenly says “Waiting for upload” but nothing happens, even though I’m in a WLAN and the network connection to the server is OK and enough disk space is available. Not even restarting the phone helps. You can then only wait until the upload happens at some point.

It would be helpful if it would say why you have to wait for the upload. That would really be a relief!

This is the same crap as version 3.30.8! These people just can’t get to grips with making properly functioning software! They have been working on it for 8 years but it still doesn’t work properly. Elon Musk would fire these people on the spot!

Took about 500 photos today and about 70 of them didn’t upload. It now says: “No uploads available” which is not true at all. Now I can go through photo by photo again and see which ones are missing.
