Summary of the issue you are facing:
[ I have a NCP self-hosted on a Raspberry Pi 4 on a 32Gb micro SD card because I want the system on the micro sd card to be separated of my files who will be on my USB SSD disk.]
Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):
- I format an empty SSD USB in ext4 using Gparted with my Ubuntu v24 laptop.
- I plugged it in my USB 3.0 port of my Raspberry Pi 4
- Then I enable the app/use this tool :

- I can see the NCP found it but cannot use it (see screenshots)
- I also tried using
BTRFS
File System but came to the same conclusion.
