I have set up a Hetzner Storage Share and am currently synching my local Drive to my new Nextcloud instance.
The Synch takes a while but worked perfectly for a while.
Today after work I got home and wanted to proceede, but I have now an error which states: “unable to open or create the local sync database. Make sure you have write access to the sync folder.”
what am I dowing wrong?
In the screenshot you can see the folder I am trying to sync (Private_8TB) and the Nexcloud settings.
You should check the Nextcloud log file for any errors. It might be possible that you’ve reached some kind of limit, e.g. database size, free storage space, free network traffic, etc. But these are all guesses because I don’t know Hetzer and their offerings. Alternatively you should contact the Hetzner support and ask them for help.
I probably know how to make it to work again but idk why it happened. Try properties/security on folder u want to sync. There should be users group that dont have any permisions if u give it permision it should work again. Tell me after if it help.
