Windows Explorer schließt nach das Auswahl einer Datei mit der rechten Maus-Taste. Ich möchte eine Datei mit einem Bestimmten Programm öffnen, das über das Popup-Menü und “Öffnen mit …” ausgewählt wird. Dabei stürtzt der Dateimanager in Microsoft ab.
1.) Nextcloud-Ordner im Explorer öffnen
2.) Datei aus Cloud (Telekom) mit rechter Maus-Taste anwählen
3.) es öffnet sich kein Popupfenster
4.) Explorer schließt automatisch
Der Fehler passiert auch bei Dateien, die bereits offline auf dem PC verfügbar sind oder auch bei Dateien die lokal oder im Netzwerk gespeichert sind.
Nachdem ich Nextcloud deinstalliert habe funktioniert es wieder einwandfrei.
Der Fehler trat erst auf, nach dem Nextcloud in den letzten Tagen automatisch upgedated wurde.

I don’t speak German but I think I had the same problem you have !
What worked for me is uninstall Nextcloud and install an old version that is stable (I went for the 3.12.0 that you can find here : Index of /desktop/releases/Windows )
Then disable auto update and u’re good to go !

Hello,
of course it is possible to restore the previous version, which worked. However, it does not change the error that exists in the new version.
I have opened this thread so that this can be fixed. I hope that a programmer will also read this.

### Bug description
As the title reads this is a the nextcloud client for windows causing Windows Explorer to crash. More specifically the shell extension causes Windows Explorer to crash whenever I right-click anything within Windows Explorer.
Specs:
- Windows 10 (AMD Processor)
- Nextcloud client version 3.12.2
- Nextcloud server version 28.0.1 (Truenas Scale)

3. Be sad because it crashed :(

Installed update today after prompted. Looked as normal, no errors during installation.
Right click any file in windows explorer causes explorer.exe to crash. Event viewer shows:
