Windows 10 desktop client can't connect to server

Hello,

I’ve successfully installed Nextcloud 22.0.0 (on PHP 7.4) but am having no luck getting the Windows 10 client (version 3.2.4) to connect to it. When I try to connect to the server, the authorization page opens in the browser and I am able to log in. I click on the “Grant Access” button and it goes to the next page saying “Account Connected”. However, the desktop client gives a “Failed to connect to secure server address” error. I have checked and https is configured correctly for the site.
I also get an error saying "Server replied “500 Internal Server Error” to “PROPFIND https://nextcloud.myservername.com/remote.php/webdav/”
I am also using the iOS client with absolutely no issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hallo @twinmoons

Hello bb77,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I’ve tried different browsers. I even tried two different computers and they both did the same thing. Neither of them can connect to the server. However, I have two iPads and an iPhone and all of them are able to connect just fine. I thought it might be something wrong with the server, but if that’s the case, why would the iOS app work correctly? I’m pretty puzzled!

BTW, I also turned off my firewall and anti-virus software and that had no effect either.

Hi
I would like to know if you managed to solve your problem and which solution was applied, as I have the same problem. With only one difference: I don’t have iOS here, but I managed to configure the client on Android
