Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 27.1.3
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 20.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache 2.4.41
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.1

The issue you are facing:

The public share of images (e.g. jpg files) and PDF files will be opened by Nextcloud Office (backend Collabora Online server) while hiding the download of the share.

If uncheck the “Hide download” to the share, then the share is normally previewed w/o opening the Nextcloud Office, this is correct behavior.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Create a share for an image or PDF file.
  2. Check the “Hide download” option for the share.
  3. Open the share link in a web browser.
  4. Nextcloud will open the Nextcloud Office to edit/view the image or PDF file.

Recap that the share is previewed normally if the share w/o “Hide download” option checked.

By the way, my Collabora Online server (coolwsd) is a standalone installation. The Nextcloud office works fine to edit office documents.
