Why can't i edit text file in Talk app?

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 29.0.0
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache/2.4.41
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.2

The issue you are facing:
I’m trying to edit file directly in conversation in Talk app. But I can only click on it and open as if I were in Files app.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Make new text file in Files app
  2. Go to the Talk app and make new conversation with other user
  3. Send file from step 1 to the conversation
  4. Can’t edit it directly in conversation

I don’t get what you mean “edit from the conversation”. I test it in my instance and yes the file opens full-screen and don’t see Talk discussion anymore… but after editing the file you return back into the same conversation…

I’m not sure this is by design but could be the case as most of the users could hardly manage editing the file and continue the Talk chat…
