Why do you have to enter your email to get access to the webinars? It feels like such a 2010 thing.
Do the emailadresses automatically generate leads or something?
I think it would be much more beneficial to upload them to your youtube channel so everyone can use them.
For example: Nextcloud tables are useful but on youtube there are very few videos properly explaining it, but the webinar will never show up there and few people might even know that webinar exists
The “problem” for companies developing open source is that their solution can be used without subscription. The cool thing is, that many can use this great solution for free, however the company has to earn some money.
Regarding webinars in general (I don’t know Nextcloud’s webinars), I rarely got anything interesting out of it, or a few interesting items hidden in a lot of promotional content. But I wanted in general to do stuff on my own and to get the technical details, whereas some of these were more addressing people looking for solutions they can buy.
Sorry i’m not sure why this is relevant because i just meant that you have to enter your email for every single webinar you want to watch. They’re free. It’s weird how there’s this barrier to information that doesn’t contribute to much?
@Thibaultmol
your question is: “Why are webinars behind an email-wall?”
And the answer to that question is as simple as it is obvious: You need to ask Nextcloud GmbH. Because they did the webinars and they provide them to the world.
You’re on the communityforum here. The webinars have nothing to do with the community as they were made by the company. So we can’t answer your question, I’m afraid.
