I have my own NAS on TrueNAS with NextCloud on it so I added my music to the Music app in the multimedia app section.
On my smartphone running /e/OS, which apps would you recommend? I tried Tempo and Youamp, but I got an error message on both, so I switched to Power Ampache, which works, but the app isn’t really that great.

I just successfully added a folder on a Nextcloud instance to the library of my long-time favourite music player for Android, Poweramp.
Downloads are available from sources other than the Play Store (but not yet with Obtanium).
I’m using Ultrasonic successfully for years. It can use the the Subsonic protocol to integrate with the Nextcloud Music app. I particularly like the offline mode, which allows me to browse just those songs already downloaded earlier.
