I would like to get rid of the “Discuss this file” feature when I share a pdf file link: I never need this feature, so would like to disable it by default in my Nextcould instance.

In the settings, in the Talk section, uncheck the second line about public shares.

I think it would be better to disable by default the feature “Allow conversations on public shares and files” : confusing for Users new to Nextcloud (as me), also for destinatary people not using Nextcloud (yet)
