Hi folks. I have been using NextCloud for a few months, and I want to try and backup my Whatsapp chats to it, instead of Google Drive.
I have successfully set up some AutoUpload folders for photos stored on my phone, but for some reason Nextcloud doesn’t register the files in the /Android/media/com.Whatsapp/Databases folder. They don’t upload, and even when I manually uploaded the files, Nextcloud still doesn’t sync them when they are changed. I don’t think it’s battery optimisation because my other AutoUpload folders sync with no issues. The screenshot below shows the file configuration.
The ‘exclude hidden files’ box is not checked. The files for Whatsapp databases looks like this:
msgstore-2025-02-03.1.db.crypt14
Does anyone know why this could be happening, and how to fix it?
