What is this little orange dot in my notes?

Hi,
This is the only category search found for notes.
Let me know if I’m in the wrong place.

I have seen a little orange dot in my notes fairly often and without apparent reason. I am not able to duplicate it, and I can backspace over it.
If I hover over it, a bubble with \ufffc shows up.
Anyone know what this is?
