What is the r么le of <navigations> section in info.xml

Hello,

Thanks you for all the job you did, Nextcloud is a really good application.
In appinfo/info.xml i can see a called section that is not
described on :
https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/12/developer_manual/app/info.html
What is the role of this section and where did you find such information ?
