Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 28.0.3
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Linux hosting 5.10.0-28-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.209-2 (2024-01-31) x86_64
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): 2.4.56
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.2

The issue you are facing:

Upgraded to 28.0.3 yesterday. Files disappear when copying from one NC account to another via WebDAV in the macOS (13.6.5) Finder. The whole parent folder has disappeared in the FTP view, while WebDAV view still displays it, including the folder that I attempted to copy, just without the files it originally contained. Really hoping those files aren’t lost.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Connect to two Nextcloud user accounts’ WebDAV via the macOS Finder.
  2. Copy a folder from one account to the other
  3. Watch the folder get created in the target account, but no files created in it – and watch the files disappear from the original folder.

Output errors in nextcloud.log in /var/www/ or as admin user in top right menu, filtering for errors. Use a pastebin service if necessary.

When I set the display level to errors only, the exported file still contains all entries.
