So I setup my nextcloud [31.0.2] using cosmos - works fine so far …
but uploading files over the browser is rather cumbersome (at least if its several tb in multiple folders) … so I tried the webdav access
But my Windows 11 is not able to connect … net use from the command line and create network drive both end in “Network drive could not be connected. Error was → login failed”
I then downloaded the offered nextcloud files app … in hopes it would allow me to create a drive letter, but the folder sync feature is also uncomfortable …
Isnt there a foolproof version to get me access?
The Nextcloud apps are foolproof and easy to use, but they cannot be used to provide access via a drive letter. Please check the above mentioned documentation to learn more about how to access files.
Solved it by removing nextcloud alltogether and replacing it with a simple Debian managed by cockpit … Also increases speed up to factor 6 (nextcloud ~ 20 mb/s … cockpit up to 120mb /s thus maximizing the gigabit network card in my appliance)
