Wanted guidance on image/installation on pi 3b+

Hello all
I was planning to install nextcloud in 3b+ for files among users , i did search but instructions were quite old. Kindly guide with image and installation instructions and will the hardware support concurrent users for which it may be approx 5…Thanks for the guidance

You can take a look at NextcloudPi, it does not only ship Nextcloud, it comes with a set of nice tools for the operating system as well (all the OS config, SSL certificates, backups, …). Take a look at it.

For very few things, I still use the old RPi3. The power is not overwhelming and using newer models, it makes it a bit painful to wait so long (because it is so slow). So with 5 users planned, don’t expect too much.

Thanks for your reply, i tried digging for info can you please suggest will 1.54.0 as per(Releases · nextcloud/nextcloudpi · GitHub) would work for need without creating issues like hangs etc due to low resources for it’s operation or any specific image to install

I don’t have it running on a raspberry, so I don’t know. Perhaps other users with such devices can give you more details of what you can expect. In the end it also depends how many apps you install, how much data you put on etc.
Like if you’d just like to synchronize your contact and calendars over a few devices and then handle a few file, that won’t use a lot of resources. If you have 5 users syncing files at the same time over several devices, this might be very different.

hardly there would be simultaneous 2-3 users with only needs for file sharing among user but it should just become non responsive due to resource shortage ,definitely performance difference wit higher pi can be expected ,that’s what I wanted to know in practical manner as would it be suitable to deploy as NAS ?
