Getting help

In order to help you as efficiently (and quickly!) as possible, please fill in as much of the below requested information as you can.

Before clicking submit: Please check if your query is already addressed via the following resources:

(Utilizing these existing resources is typically faster. It also helps reduce the load on our generous volunteers while elevating the signal to noise ratio of the forums otherwise arising from the same queries being posted repeatedly).

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
    • Version 33.0.3
  • Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04):
    • Linux 6.12.30+ x86_64
  • Web server and version (e.g, Apache 2.4.25):
    • Apache 2.4.67
  • Reverse proxy and version _(e.g. nginx 1.27.2)
    • I think cloudflare does it because of the tunnel
  • PHP version (e.g, 8.3):
    • 8.4.21
  • Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Yes / No):
    • It's not really an error but it has been there for a long time
  • When did this problem seem to first start?
    • A few weeks ago
  • Installation method (e.g. AlO, NCP, Bare Metal/Archive, etc.)
    • Docker compose
  • Are you using CloudfIare, mod_security, or similar? (Yes / No)
    • Cloudflare for tunnel

Summary of the issue you are facing:

When docker says he needs to update the app container I update it but the version in the web interface doesn’t change.

And currently i’m running on 33.0.3 and I looked it up that the version name of that version is Hub 33 but in my interface it says im on hub 26 winter. Little detail. In the interface the update standard is stable and in docker it says latest

One is the version code (33.0.x) and one the version name. The version name was more for marketing reasons to sell the whole Nextcloud “package” (with talk, office etc.). It can create for confusion, but regarding the major/minor updates etc. the version code is the relevant part.

Okay so it is normal that the version name is different. And what with the second thing that docker keeps doing updates for the app container and the version number keeps the same number?

I don’t use docker, but it contains other parts (webserver, php,
) that might have/need updates. Depending on which container you use, you can probably trace it back somehow.

Does anyone has the problem with docker (problem 2 in main message)?

What do you mean by “docker says”? Can you be more specific? v33.0.3 is the latest version.

Also post your Docker Compose file

In the interface the update standard is stable and in docker it says latest

There are multiple stable branches supported at the same time. For a Docker image, latest is effectively the “latest stable”.

And what with the second thing that docker keeps doing updates for the app container and the version number keeps the same number?

Can you be more specific? That said, keep in mind that an image can be updated for a different reason than merely a new Nextcloud Server release. For example, to update a component with it for a security matter or bug that is image specific. That won’t change the Nextcloud Server version running within the container using that image.

This is my docker compose file.

Your first question: In the docker interface there is a blue update button at the app_container but when I press it nothing changes in nextcloud.

I understand your answer on the third question.

Can you also help me with those 4 errors in my logs. I havve searched the forum but couldn’t find an answer.

Thank you

Does anyone know how to fix the errors above
