Using virtual files with MacOS Desktop client doesn't work

Hello everyone,
I would like to use the Nextcloud Desktop Client on MacOS with virtual files.

I have the latest MacOS, Nextcloud Client and Nextloud-Server Version.

I have downloaded the correct version but it still isn’t working.
I think, I should have everything configured correctly:

The problem:
When I try to access the (virtual files) of Nextcloud in the Finder of MacOS, Nextcloud is supposedly logged off. When I tap the “Log in” button, everything hangs up and I have to restart the Finder manually.
You can see it below:

The synchronization I tried for “Standard file sync” worked.

I can’t imagine that the 200GB (without shared folders) is too much and will overload my Mac.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Everything else works perfectly, but I would be very happy about this little detail (it also works on Windows).

Thank you for your help and have a nice relaxing weekend. :grinning:

just signed up to comment as well. I have the exact same issue and do not know where it’s coming from. I’ve set up a second nextcloud instance and uploaded only a few files (35mb) and I have the same issue. So your storage size being 200gb cannot be the issue

It seems like a unsolved problem with the desktop client:

Unfortunately, there is not yet a solution or a workaround for this problem.

Hello everyone,
The problem itself has not yet been properly solved, but here is at least a workaround:
If I log in to the Nextcloud MacOS app via the IP address (with http) instead of via the domain with SSL certificate, the virtual files work perfectly. See also: [Bug]: macOS Virtual files VFS not working on Nextcloud 3.15.3 · Issue #7979 · nextcloud/desktop · GitHub

Note: Even if the problem is not really solved, I have simply marked the post as solved because it works via the IP address.
