Use same External Drive as Nextcloud Desktop Sync for Windows and Linux alternatively

Hello Nextclouders !

I am in the middle of a Dropbox to Nextcloud Migration in an environment with a tight budget and limited amount of access time. 500G of Dropbox data have been already synced to Nextcloud own home maintained server.
Now i have to synchronize them to Windows Desktop on an external drive since internal one is full and even if empty would not have enough free space.
Synchronisation with Dropbox to external drive is broken, but it is just a side-note unrelated to my current question.
I can’t get access to this windows computer for enough time to complete a synchronisation on the ntfs vercrypt ciphered external drive.
I started to synchonize content from a linux Zorin OS on another laptop on that external drive using Nextcloud Desktop application.

So at the end of synchronisation that will hopefully happen, i will have a Nextcloud synced content on the external drive.

Question is : How will it it fit on the Windows System with its Nextcloud Desktop ?

I am clearly fearing that content will be wiped to be redownloaded, what i can’t afford, this is more than 8 hours.

I would like to alternatively use either windows Windows or Linux laptop with that very same external Disk, without having to fear Nextcloud Desktop would wipe and restart synchronisation on the content.

Is it possible, if yes, what do i have to fear ?
