Hi,
currently I’m trying to sort out the options for using Nextcloud as a single source for data/services across all devices - like iCloud does for syncing everything.
First problem is, I have contacts and calenders spread over different devices.
Desktop-PC, Android phone, Notebook.
Somehow I would at first need to unify my contacts, addressbooks and so on. Because on each device some entries are unique on one device where others are duplicate across multiple.
It looks like that Thunderbird allows to store more data on a contact, than nextcloud does.
- Calendars
- Addressbooks
- Contacts
- Bookmarks
Optional:
- Photos
Expanded:
- Sync device settings (specific to
- Locate service where devices notify their position to
- Remote whipe server, devices connect to
- Sync E-Mail signatures
I know about the guides for Thunderbird and Android.
But not sure about if existing data gets overwritten or lost somehow.
How would you approach this or what are you using? Custom setups?
Thanks for your ideas and input
