Update from an old (19.0.0) to 29/30

Good Morning,

I somehow forgot to update the version on my server for quite a while and am running with the 19.0.0. I wanted to upgrade to the 29 or 30. Auto update does not work. I wonder if I can manually update from 19 to 29, backup before, or if you would recommend doing steps in between and f ex updating to a lower version or doing 3-4 updates instead of such a major one?

If your Nextcloud is publicly accessible, I would reinstall it completely. You cannot rule out the possibility that it has been compromised in the meantime. 19.0.0 is from Jun 17, 2020 and full of security vulnerabilities which are known.

Alright. Good point. I made a fresh installation and start from there. Thanks for the quick help.
