Update docker image with build in updater?

i am using https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/nextcloud container on my unraid server. i keep getting notifications to update to 15.0.5 from 14.0.4
should i update or it will break the container
should i do something before i do it?

if you try to update via web gui nothing will happen. it won’t work.
you have to pull the new image. remove your container. and restart from the new image.

my container is up to date
will they release a new version soon or do i have to reinstall it or something

15.0.5 is the actual version of the image. what is the version of your container?

i am using this https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/nextcloud

i just backed up everything and used the build in updater
it failed

so i got it out of maintance mode and tried again
AND IT WORKED!

i will update if there are any problems

this image is a bit behind. so you have to wait till they (linuxserver.io) release a new one.
or you get hands on their docker file and do it yourself.
