The issue you are facing:

I just installed nextcloud in my new raspi3 with UbuntuCore 16 img. After that, I formatted my new WD Red NAS 2TB to ext4 and mounted it

sudo vi /writable/system-data/etc/systemd/system/media-data.mount

Do you have proper ownership for www-data and permissions?

yes. recursively owned by www-data. But I resorted to using NextCloudPi for now. All are working fine. I will come back to this issue once I get another set of RasPi3. Thanks for your reply @stratacast appreciate it!

NextcloudPi is the way to go :wink: I’m personally not a big fan of snappy, Debian (Raspbian here) is a rock-solid base for your stuff, and NextcloudPi makes good use of it. I’m glad it’s working for you again!

NextCloudPi seem will solve problems for a particular community here in NZ. I would like to help them in in building a more secure gadgets inside their homes soon. Cheers @stratacast mate!
