    Yes
When did this problem seem to first start?
After I installed the Tasks app
Installation method (e.g. AlO, NCP, Bare Metal/Archive, etc.)

Summary of the issue you are facing:

“Tasks” is completely read-only for everything created from Deck. I enjoy Desk so I thought I’d see how to integrate it with Tasks. It has made some automatically generated lists of tasks from Desk, but nothing is editable, the check boxes are grey, the tags/labels are grey … something is obviously wrong somewhere. Any ideas? I can’t find anything by search on the forum or generally, but it’s hard to know what to search for …

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Install Deck and create some lists with card and task lists.
  2. Install Tasks and the tasks should also be there
  3. None of the automatically generated tasks in Tasks are editable.

The output of occ config:list system or similar is best, but, if not possible, the contents of your config.php file from /path/to/nextcloud is fine (make sure to remove any identifiable information!):

This is by design. The tasks from deck will be visible in tasks but as read only. You have to mark them as done i deck when you are finished with them.

If you create a task in tasks. It will be editable.

OK I guess. But how is a new user supposed to know that? I can’t find anywhere in the UI a note that Tasks from Deck are read-only. I can see quite a few places wher a relevant tool tip could be placed.

I’ve created a feature requests to Add context info to Tasks shown from Deck cards.
