Can someone clarify how search in Nextcloud Talk is supposed to work?
I’m on NC 32.0.2 with Talk 22.0.4.
What I see:
In the web and desktop versions, the search field in the left sidebar does not find messages — only rooms/users.
But in the mobile app, the same search does find messages by their text.
Searching inside a conversation (right sidebar → search) works fine everywhere.
So I’m confused:
Is the sidebar search in Talk supposed to search message text at all?
And should global unified search (top-right search in NC) show Talk messages?
Or is mobile using a different search mechanism?
The documentation mentions “global unified search” + “search within a conversation”, but behavior is different across clients.
I want to understand - is something not configured on my part or is it supposed to be this way?
Thanks!
