I am running Nextcloud Hub 26 Spring (34.0.1) and I want to sync the files on my Nextcloud to my laptop, while using the experimental function for virtual files.
The laptop is running Ubuntu 26.04.
When the computer is syncing it first “counts” the number of files. Often this process didn’t complete, the window tells me that the server is offline or it restart to count the files.
The process doesn’t pass the counting point. The window tells me: “file 0 of x” where x is ascending and then stops.
@Marianne_van_Harten since virtual files sync is experimental on linux desktop client, your best option would probably be creating an issue request on the developers GitHub Issues · nextcloud/desktop
I know this is not an answer to your question, but since on linux it is very easy to mount webdav shares, why are you choosing virtual filesystem instead? Just curious.
BTW I’m happy that the introduced virtual FS for windows, since it’b a PITA for my collegues using windows. I had to rely on external tools other than native windows dav mount, which was not working (cyberduc, mountain duck, raidrive).
