Sync and upload not working

The Basics

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
  • Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04):
    • Nextcloud desktop client 3.15.3 (on Mac 14.6.1 (23G93))
    • Webinterface: Google Chrome
  • Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Yes / No):

  • When did this problem seem to first start?
    • 5 days

Summary of the issue you are facing:

  • Nextcloud is not syncing (upload it seems) any more.
  • I am also not able to create a folder or upload a file via web-interface.

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. I completley installed the current Nextcloud software and started complete new sync. Download works (version of 5 days before), but no further upload and new files in the folders then were “destroyed”, i.e. file could not be opened by MS Office applications any more.

  1. tried to upload via web-interface. Not working either.

So I am not able to use my nextcloud at all at the moment. Any ideas?

I contacted the suppor team. My storage was used by deleted files and file versions which was not visible for me in the nextcloud application. After deleting, everything worked again.
