Swift as External Storage problems (apps/files_external)

Hi,

We have two Nextcloud servers - one running 11.0.2 and the other 12.0.3 - having problems connecting
to OpenStack Swift storage using the same Swift configuration with the auth being the only variant.

  1. NC 11.0.2 + OpenStack Keystone V2 auth - works
  2. NC 11.0.2 + OpenStack Keystone V3 auth - doesn’t work and no error messages in the logs
  3. NC 12.0.3 + OpenStack Keystone V2 auth - doesn’t work and no error messages in the logs
  4. NC 12.0.3 + OpenStack Keystone V3 auth - doesn’t work and no error messages in the logs

I don’t believe there have been any changes in the OpenStack library code in NC across these versions of NC.

If you have any experience with NC and OpenStack, and have any suggestions, it would really be appreciated.

SwiftV3 is supported in Nextcloud 14 as primary storage, not as external storage. If you need that, please contact support about this - https://portal.nextcloud.com
