I am writing to request technical assistance regarding our on-premise Nextcloud server.
Although our GoDaddy subscription is active until September 2026, our current SSL certificate has expired. To resolve this, we have purchased a new certificate and now need to complete the domain validation process. We have been provided with a TXT record that must be added to our domain configuration.
Could you please assist us in updating these records and installing the renewed certificate on our local server to restore secure access?
You have to check with your DNS provider how to use their interface to add a TXT record, we do not know where you host it and cannot help you with that. Once you have a new certificate, you need to install this to your web server, if you host with GoDaddy, check with them and their documentation, how to add this.
Most people here have their small server or vserver, then you can directly add this to the webserver configuration (nginx/apache). On this level there are some implementations here that take care of this part (NextcloudPi, Nextcloud-AIO). For these there might be people here to help you out. But for hosted environments, they are very specific and it is better to check out their communities/support.
